Hey folks!
It’s time for the next update! A few exciting things happening over here and I figured it was time to let you all in on those updates. So let’s jump right in.

Book Updates
First, as the title stated, it’s time for a cover reveal of the next book in The Curiosity Collection, as well as the title (if you haven’t seen my social media posts).
I present to you:

Isn’t it beautifully magnificent!! I have to give props to the team over at ebooklaunch.com as I feel they outdid themselves on this one.
I had a choice between two covers, and I thought this one fit the rest of the series quite well. However, we may use the other cover (not shown) for the back of the print edition. I’ll keep you posted on that as well.
Synopsis
When Lula moved to a new town and found herself in a new school, little did she know that her world would forever change the moment a group of classmates asked her to join their weekly Heroes and Quests game. A game filled with endless possibilities of magic and wonder. But there was more to this game than meets the eye, and to her surprise, the adventure had only just begun. After a spirited night of games and fun, Lula finds her world turned upside down and in danger. To now save the world, she must rely on her new friends, work with a band of warriors, hunt down a mysterious artifact, battle dangerous creatures, and most importantly, find her courage.
It’s the perfect book for those that are a fan of Jumanji, Dungeons and Dragons, fantasy, and other such escapism adventures. This also happens to be the longest of The Curiosity Collection. I seem to keep writing more and more with each book as I fall in love more and more with the worlds and characters.
Release Date
The specific release date for A Roll of the Dice is TBD. The book is fully formatted. I am doing a final proofread as I wait for the files of the cover art. Then it’s just a matter of uploading to all of the sites and picking a date. I will send out another update once I have an exact date (looking for early to mid May).
Young Adult Video Game Series
I was going back and forth on publishing this one next. But I decided that since I am already on draft 3 (last time I updated you I was only 70% on draft one), that it is worth pursuing. Plus, I can’t get the novel out of my head. I am consistently living in the world and kind of obsessed with it. So, I am still aiming for a mid/late summer release on this one.
Draft three consists of some pretty heavy updates, rewriting entire chapters, and changing some characters around a decent amount. It’s pushing me to expand my imagination a good bit and being a bit more whimsical with my creativity while diving into young adult themes.
Life Updates
Things have been a bit hectic here, but I think in a good way. We had a soul refreshing and amazing visit from some beautiful friends (you know who you are lol), which really rejuvenated my spirit.
I mentioned in the last newsletter that there is this never ending weight of exhaustion hanging over everything. Well, due to that, I have been messing around with my sleep schedule, as one night my dog woke me up during some bad storms at 3am (poor guy is terrified) and I realized that I was feeling pretty good and not terribly tired. Then I remembered a sleep schedule I used to have 10-15 years ago. I have put a version of that back into place, and on the days I follow it, it has been a life saver.
Maybe one of these days I’ll do one of those “Day in the life” posts on my socials. But for now I essentially get up at 3:30 am and get a good amount of work done before the sun comes up. It’s a load off my shoulders for feeling productive, while also being less exhausted throughout the day.
But, I think that is a good update for now and I can’t wait for you all to read A Roll of the Dice!
